Instructors



Harriet Adams, Owner, PTA, BA

Harriet is the owner of Aquatic Consultants of Georgia, Inc. She attended Saint Mary's College in Raleigh, N.C. and earned her bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In addition, she completed the physical therapist assistant program at Gwinnett Technical Institute and studied aquatic physical therapy techniques in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland.

Harriet co-authored Aquatic Exercise Toolbox, which is published by Human Kinetics. She is an active member of the Aquatic Section of the American Physical Therapy Association and served on their board for seven years. The Physical Therapy Association of Georgia awarded Harriet the "Outstanding Physical Therapist Assistant" award in 2004. She also served on the Board of the Junior League of Atlanta and was the recipient of the 2003 Fidelity award from the American Red Cross. Harriet was also honored with the 2005 "Women to Watch" where she was honored by her Junior League peers. Currently, Harriet serves on the Board of the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum in Savannah, Georgia. She is also the owner of Aquatic Integrated Therapy, LLC, an outpatient physical therapy clinic. Harriet is married with a four year old son and lives in Buckhead.



Carlton Sanders, Aquatic Director

Carlton is an experienced swim team coach, lifeguard and swim instructor. He is a veteran Water Safety instructor and has significant experience with special needs children, particularly those with Autism and Down's Syndrome.



Kelsey Bilthouse

Kelsey graduated from Woodward Academy in May of 2011 and now attends the University of South Carolina. While at Woodward, she was elected captain of the varsity swim team, qualifying for two state championships and becoming a city finalist. Kelsey is the Junior Waves coach at Capital City Club in the summer. She loves being around kids, and nothing makes her happier than teaching kids to do the thing she loves the most.



Faith Gordon

Faith is originally from Tallahassee, Florida. She came to Atlanta by way of Savannah, Georgia. Faith received her bachelor's degree in Journalism from Florida A&M University. She has been a swim instructor and lifeguard since 2001.






Ablavi Koudonou

Ablavi was born in Togo in West Africa and currently resides in Stone Mountain. She’s a senior at Herzing University, studying Criminal Justice with a concentration in Homeland Security. Ablavi has been a lifeguard for six years and taught swim lessons for a year. Her hobbies include swimming, reading, and having fun with family and friends. In her spare time she volunteers with Trees Atlanta, planting new trees around the city.



Clinton Maclin

Clinton is an American Red Cross Swim instructor and an instructor for the Arthritis Foundation. A graduate of Georgia State University, Clinton received his degree in Exercise Science.



Scott Mennicke

Scott is currently attending Southern Polytechnic State University, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management. Before coming to Aquatic Consultants of Georgia, he was a swim instructor and lifeguard with the YMCA. Additionally, Scott has great experience with children, coaching 7th and 8th grade football, as well as 5 and 6 year old and 9th grade basketball. He currently plays semi-professional basketball for the Marietta Storm.



Emily Silva

Emily graduated from the University of Arkansas with degrees in industrial engineering and transportation and logistics management. Emily is a member of the Junior League of Atlanta and is a volunteer for the American Red Cross. She has worked at summer camps where she taught waterskiing, wakeboarding, swimming, snorkeling, and sailing. Emily especially loves to teach toddlers and beginning swimmers how to swim.



Barbara Ouellette, Office Manager

Barbara is the Office Manager for Aquatic Consultants of Georgia, Inc. and Integrated Therapy, LLC. She has worked in the medical field for 25 years, most recently for a Plastic and Hand Surgeon in Portland, Maine. She moved to the Atlanta area from Maine, and resides in Woodstock. Barbara is a mother of four wonderful children. She enjoys spending all her extra time with them as well as sports (she loves the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins), playing cards, listening to live bands, and swimming.
